Quanthealth | Platform Tech Lead

QuantHealth is a dynamic startup dedicated to accelerating the delivery of new treatments to patients by developing an AI platform that simulates and predicts the outcomes of clinical trials. We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineering Lead to join our team and contribute to our mission of transforming patient care.

As the Platform Engineering Lead, you will play a crucial role in shaping the overall architecture of our AI platform. You will be responsible for designing, overseeing and participating in the development of various components, including data science and back-end services, API design, and data modeling. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with data science, product and clinical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the platform architecture.
• Plan and guide the development of data science services to enable predictive modeling for clinical trials.
• Ensure seamless integration of data science components into the platform, ensuring scalable, performant, and reliable data processing and retrieval.
• Lead the selection and integration of appropriate tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance the platform’s capabilities.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to the team’s overall code quality.
• Mentor and support developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or similar role, preferably in a startup.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about future-proof solutions.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong programming skills in languages like Python and TypeScript.
• Knowledge of web technologies and experience with scalable cloud-based architectures.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience working with data science teams.
• Experience with data visualization tools and statistics is a plus.
